Where Everything is Free
The Second Chance Outlet is a reuse center located on the first floor, next to the Mail Services/Digital Imaging Customer Service Counter.
The Second Chance Outlet contains a mix of used (and sometimes new) office supplies and equipment available at no cost to CalEPA Headquarters Building employees.
Staff can access the Second Chance Outlet Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Adding Items to the Second Chance Outlet
If you wish to donate items, it is suggested that they are first offered within the originating BDO before they are placed in the Second Chance Outlet.
Please note that any item that has an official State of California property tag must be processed through the BDO’s Business Services Officer or Property Controller.
Please use common sense in determining the usability and quality of the items that are brought to the Second Chance Outlet. If an item is badly damaged or simply worn out, it is unlikely that someone else will want it – these items are to be disposed via your BDO’s normal process.
Please note that it is expected that everyone will assist in keeping the Second Chance Outlet neat and organized.
Appropriate Use
Materials available in the Second Chance Outlet were purchased with government funds and must, by statute, be used only for State business needs.
