Bicycle/Scooter Parking at the CalEPA Headquarters Building

Below you will find bicycle/scooter parking information at the CalEPA Headquarters Building.

Bicycle Storage Room
The Bicycle Storage Room is located on the first floor of the building on the east (11th Street) side. It has a capacity of 171 bicycles on wall and floor racks. Small lockers are available for day use, and electrical outlets are available for charging purposes. The room is monitored by security cameras 24 hours a day, seven days a week and only authorized users may access the Bicycle Storage Room.

A thorough cleaning of the Bicycle Storage Room occurs every April and October. This cleaning requires employees to remove all bicycles/scooters and personal belongings from the Bicycle Storage Room. Two weeks’ notice will be posted before each cleaning, and emails will be sent to all employees that have access to the Bicycle Storage Room. Any items left in the Bicycle Storage Room on the scheduled cleaning day will be removed and stored for one month. If left unclaimed, any collected items will be donated to charity. H Street Bicycle Lockers
There are 28 “box” type bicycle lockers adjacent to the building on H Street.

Courtyard Bicycle Racks
There are 25 bicycle racks in the building’s courtyard that can accommodate up to 50 bicycles.

Overnight Storage Is Not Permitted
If a bicycle/scooter is continually left overnight at the CalEPA Headquarters Building, a warning will be placed on the bicycle/scooter. If the bicycle/scooter is left overnight at the building for over one week, the bicycle/scooter will be removed. To claim a bicycle/scooter that has been removed, please contact Transportation Services.
