About Us
The California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA) encourages employees to use alternate modes of transportation while commuting to and from work. Employees who are interested in using alternate modes of transportation can contact or visit the Transportation Services’ counter to find out more information about bicycle commuting, subsidized transit fares, the Incidental Use Parking Program (IUPP), carpooling and much more.
Location and Hours
Transportation Services is located in the Visitor Center on the first floor of the CalEPA Headquarters Building.
Hours of Operation
- Office hours: 7:30 am to 11:00 am and 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm
- Remote services Hours: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Parking Card Checkout Times
- SAME DAY Parking Card Check-Out: 7:30 am to 11:00 am
- NEXT DAY Parking Card Check-Out: 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm
Program Services and Information
- Transit. Staff are able to purchase transit passes at discounted rates through Connect Card. For details, check out the Transit webpage.
- Monthly Parking. Apply for a monthly parking pass for Sacramento’s City Hall Garage.

For details, check out the Incidental Program Use Guidelines. Parking cards are in high demand and limited supply. Transportation Services issues cards to enrolled employees on a first-come, first-served basis. While Transportation Services endeavors to provide eligible employees with parking cards, employees are not guaranteed parking cards. - Work Related Parking Program (WRP). A small inventory of parking access cards for the City Hall Garage is available for employee’s work-related parking needs.
Employees in need must submit a completed CalEPA-027 to the Transportation Services endeavors. - Bicycle Parking. The CalEPA Headquarters Building has amenities and resources available to encourage and support staff commuting by bike.

The California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA) in sponsorship with 50 Corridor TMA + Sac TMA encourages employees to use alternate modes of transportation while commuting to and from work. - Guarantee Ride Home Program. All CalEPA HQ Building employees traveling to / from their workplace in the Sacramento area via an alternate mode of transportation at least 60 percent of the time are eligible to take part in the Guarantee Ride Home Program.
